Congratulations to NLA Lakeland Chapter 1013 for their planning, organizing and financial support reaching out to support the youth in our community. 

Their “The Streets Ain’t Cool” Event on July 26 at God Land Unity Church in Detroit was a major success. Motivational Speakers provided solid messages of warning and hope, good food was served along with Education and Entertainment.  A special thanks for Chapter 1013 their desire to reach out and then doing the work needed to come up with the financial support to Sponsor the Event. Without their generous support, The Street’s Ain’t Cool Event would not have come to fruition. They coordinated with outside supports and provided enough funds to purchase prizes that included a half dozen Bikes, Basketballs, Footballs and more.

This event is a great reminder of how Incarcerated Individuals can have a positive impact when they are as dedicated and as active as NLA Chapter 1013.  This Chapter once again demonstrated that just because you are locked up, does not stop you from doing God’s work.
